Hi Fashionistas! My name is Kaila Lewis, and I am from Annapolis, Maryland. I am a rising senior at the University of South Carolina, where I am a public relations major and fashion merchandising minor. I may only be 5’2”, but don’t worry, I will be sure to make up for my height in personality and style!
I think it is really hard to pinpoint my exact style these days because I love to take chances and try something new. I just recently got back from studying abroad in Florence, Italy, and I enjoyed the chance to embrace European style into my wardrobe and develop a more unique look of my own. Even though I feel like I have added a bunch of black into my mix of clothes, I love to throw in a pop of color to make myself stand out.
Style is important to me because I think that it is the best way to show off my personality. You can also tell my mood by what I decide to wear that day. If I am feeling really bright and cheery, expect me to show off my glow in one of my favorite colors, pink! I always like to stay true to my college colors, and have learned to embrace them as my favorite color combo into my wardrobe: garnet and black. Keep an eye out, and I am sure you will see these colors pop up a lot on my profile in the future. College is a great time to find yourself, but trust me Fashionistas/os, it is also a wonderful time to find your style as well.
In these photos, I am wearing a new outfit for my other internship in Georgetown, D.C. The top and the trousers are from Topshop, which is carried at Nordstrom. The flats are from Zara and they are a pair that I have wanted for awhile while studying abroad in Italy, but I decided to purchase them at my local Zara for my internship. I like that this outfit is fun and cheery for an internship, but it can also look professional at the same time.
I am so glad I got the opportunity to be a Style Guru, and I can’t wait to see what this summer has in store for me! Let’s have some fun!
