Transitioning to a healthy lifestyle has been my passion for the last few years. I became so passionate about wellness and the environment as soon as I declared my major of environmental studies at Connecticut College. Clothing/styling is my second passion, so I’ve been trying to find the balance between environmental sustainability and keeping up with style trends over the past few years.
Finding the balance between sustainability and fashion has been a newfound love of mine. My favorite brand is Reformation because of their amazing pieces and the efforts they have made to become a sustainable clothing company. I try to buy as many clothes as I can from thrift shops and online consignment sites (like Poshmark and Vestiare) so that I don’t contribute too much to the high production levels of most clothing companies and the impact they have on the environment. Something I love about thrift shopping and resale sites is the amazing deals that can be found at such low prices. Finding a great deal on an amazing designer piece is one of the most rewarding things to me. I have a personal style and health blog called The Mix where I post healthy recipes, exercise routines and daily outfit posts. I have loved incorporating my two passions through my blog.
I’ve been following CollegeFashionista for a few months now, and I’m excited to start getting some of my own posts up! I hope I can inspire you to create the trendy look you’ve been after and consider some different brands you may have never thought to look up before. Some random facts about me: sushi is my favorite food, my closet is mostly filled with black, I spend nearly all of my money on shoes and I love booties and platform shoes.
