Hello Fashionistas/os!
My name is Kaitlin Lawless, and I am a recent graduate from the University of Guelph in marketing management. In September I will be starting the first semester of my post-graduate program at Humber College at their Lakeshore campus. I will be majoring in fashion management and promotions, and hoping to pursue a dream career as a buyer for Hudson’s Bay Company or Holt Renfrew. This is my first term as a Style Guru, and I couldn’t be more excited!
Additionally from my passion for fashion (I know that was cheesy), I love reading, the outdoors/hiking, eating and staying active! I am a very social person, as many of my elementary school report cards can attest to as they constantly called me a “social butterfly,” I love to be surrounded by friends and family. I love living in Toronto as this busy city allows me to socialize and connect.
As for my style, I would consider myself to be classic with a touch of boho; however I’m never shy to try new trends. My go-to weekday outfit, when I’m not at work, would be a pair of dark wash jeans, a knitted sweater or basic coloured top and simple jewelry. For the weekend, especially in the summer, I like to keep things simple, as it gets very hot in Toronto. I like to wear a high waisted Levi Brand Jeans shorts and a either a tank or T-shirt or a cute floral dress. I look to Kate Hudson, Candice Swanepoel and Jennifer Aniston for celebrity style inspiration, as their style is closely aligned with mine.
