Hello to all of you Fashionistas! My name is Kaitlin Stedtefeld. I am a senior fashion merchandising major with a minor in marketing at Kent State University. I had a spurt of indecisiveness and studied fashion design for a year. Design wasn’t the right fit for me, but I have never once questioned my decision to study fashion.
I love to look into the history behind fashion. I have taken multiple history classes and thoroughly enjoyed them. I hope to continue my history of fashion crave as I study abroad in Italy in January. When I have a grasp on the knowledge of the past, I have a better understanding of the present. Fashion is something that will always exist. And fashion is something that has always been. Fashion has such a strong presence in my life and I am honored to write about it.
My personal style is constantly changing. And that is because I am constantly changing with everything new experience in my life. Sometimes my style is minimalist chic, and other days I am sporting a classy, timeless look. I am learning to buy more pieces that are versatile and that coordinate with other pieces in my wardrobe. I have shifted towards a more neutral colored wardrobe. My daily wardrobe decisions have become more effortless and creative in doing so.
All in all, I am very excited to expand my fashion journey through CollegeFashionista! Thank you for reading and you’ll hear from me soon later in the semester. Don’t forget to stay #RAD!
