Hello fellow fashion lovers!
My name is Kaleb McAfee and I have intense passion for fashion. I grew up in really small town in mountains of Virginia. I am currently a student at Old Dominion University, where I am majoring in communications. My current obsessions seem to be quite endless. I love anything marble, trench coats, faux fur, boots/booties, and all gold everything. It is beyond amazing to finally “meet” you guys and I cannot wait to be able to share all of the fashion inspiration that I surrounded by on the daily.
Going to Old Dominion University has opened my eyes to all types of fashion trends. My school is extremely diverse. In turn, that leads to me being able to take in fashion trends from all over. I feel that I get a lot of my inspiration from my peers and social media sites. Growing up in a small town, I never really seemed to fit in because my style was always over the top and stood out among my fellow classmates. Being in college, I have stepped away from overly-printed clothing, over-the-top accessories, and neon-colored clothes. Today, basics and the ability to layer saves my life. I love neutral colors and being able to mix and match different pieces to create a simple but fabulous look. I believe that you should dress every day like you are going to see your worst enemy. I love being able to express myself with my clothing and I know that if I dress well, I feel better.
I don’t believe that I have a particular style on an everyday basis. Some days I dress more casual than others, though I feel like my style tends to be a mix between preppy and edgy. I love anything girly but I also love grungy or edgy looking items as well. For this particular look, I mixed a ton of textures. I wore black faux leather pants, a sheer white blouse, a faux fur scarf, black heeled booties, and a simple peacoat. I added a little glam by sporting a pair of all-black sunglasses, a silver watch and bracelet, and carried a cheetah wristlet to add a pattern and bring together all the colors in the outfit.
This outfit is perfect for a simple dinner, running errands, or just wearing to class if you have a little extra time. I look forward to spending the semester with you all. Continue to be great!
