Hey Fashionistas/os! I am very excited to start my third semester as a Style Guru intern for CollegeFashionista! It has been a great learning experience thus far, and I cannot wait to see what else is in store for me. I am originally from Westchester County, New York, which is a forty minute drive from New York City, but for most of the year I live in the city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I am a sophomore studying at The University of Pittsburgh and I absolutely love it! Pitt has a small town vibe within a big city, and the fashion tastes and inspirations are as varied as the thousands of students.
The thing I love most about fashion is that it is constantly shifting and evolving. I find my own personal aesthetic and style changing on a daily basis, but I tend to stick to classic colors and looks. I like to incorporate main stream pieces such as Hunter rain boots and put my own twist on what else to include to create something new, fresh and unique. In this look, the bright blue jacket and coral colored scarf are accented in the umbrella, and are a pop of color against the navy Hunter boots. It is possible to keep up with the trends without losing your own style in the process!
Some pieces I anticipate rising in popularity this coming semester include plaid blanket scarves, lightly colored sweaters, fringe boots and warm headbands.
