Hey Fashionistas and Fashionistos! My name is Kasia Kujawski and I am currently finishing up my junior year at DePaul University in Chicago. I am studying Public Relations and Advertising as well as Organizational Communication (always a mouthful!) I love everything related to Communications, corgis are my absolute favorite thing on this planet, distance running is one of my favorite pastimes and I’m a first-generation Polish-American. This is my first time writing for CollegeFashionista, and I am so incredibly excited to combine my passion for fashion with my love of writing!
Fashion has always been at least a small part of my life. From a young age, I have valued fashion as one of the greatest and deeply personal expressions of art and emotion. I frequently watched The Devil Wears Prada and read Teen Vogue religiously, and I always put hours into picking my outfits. That hobby has now evolved into poring over fashion blogs, writing for CollegeFashionista and giving style advice to whoever asks!
Because my style is constantly evolving, I don’t think I could put a label on it. I mainly stick to looks that are feminine, classic, grunge or preppy. As of lately, you won’t see me leave the house without sporting my Marc Jacobs watch, at least five rings on my fingers and my beloved Dooney & Bourke tote. When I’m not sporting head to toe black and neutral tones, I love wearing solid colors and bold patterns, like the red blouse I am wearing here.
Growing up in the suburb of Wheaton, Illinois, I wasn’t particularly inspired until I moved into Chicago. I love being in the city, as I am constantly surrounded by a diverse population with diverse tastes in fashion. I’ve also found myself inspired when I travelled to Warsaw, Poland—there’s just something so fresh and authentic about European fashion!
Currently, my fashion inspirations are fashion blogger Chiara Ferragni, singer/songwriter Lana Del Rey and TV presenter/former model Alexa Chung.
When I’m not writing for CollegeFashionista, I am interning at Cars.com as the communications intern. I am also actively involved on my campus. I am the vice president of external relations/digital of DePaul PRSSA, which is a pre-professional organization that helps public relations and advertising students with professional development. I also help organize and market events with DePaul Activities Board, the largest programming body on campus.
Be sure to check back in every Wednesday for a new post. I look forward to collaborating with and learning from other CollegeFashionistas/os and contributing to the CollegeFashionista community in a meaningful way!
