Ciao! Hola! Bonjour! I am so thrilled to begin my second term at a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista. This last term, I blogged about styles around Oregon State Campus as well as my campus while studying abroad in Florence, Italy. Studying abroad this summer was the best experience of my life. Not only did I learn so much about different cultures and people, but I also picked up some amazing fashion and unique styles I haven’t seen here in the states. With that being said, I would say my style has become a bit more adventurous when it comes to textures and lengths.
With fall approaching it is time to start thinking about transiting your wardrobe. Some major trends this fall will be suede, bold colors, fringe, brocade and the ’70s looks. I have always loved ’70s-inspired clothing, so naturally I am all about this trend, which is filling every Forever 21 and H&M.
Suede, real or faux, can be found as shirts, shorts, shoes, bags and even pants. Adding one of these items to your wardrobe will update it for the season. Try not only a neutral or black, but a bright color for a statement piece. I chose a pair of high-waisted chestnut suede shorts to add fall texture to my tribal print tank top. My booties are the classic black style with a twist, suede. Booties are still the go-to shoe for this coming season. They can be worn with just about anything, including shorts and dresses while the weather is still hot. Picking up on another trend is my fringe-adorned handbag. Add a crochet kimono for to add warmth when the weather cools off in the evening.
