Hello, fellow Fashionistas/os! My name is Kat Harris and I am a junior at Miami University (of Ohio). I am currently studying strategic communications, fashion business and planning to add a photography minor. I have always had a passion for fashion and no space left in my closet.
Ever since I can remember, I have been playing dress up with my sisters. Over the years, my style has gone from wearing princess dresses around the house, to dressing like a tomboy in elementary school, to giving the bohemian look a try, to grunge and all-black (Little J was secretly my favorite Gossip Girl character), to where I finally am today.
I would say my style now is very laid back. On an average day, I throw on a worn-in T-shirt and pair it with distressed jeans and booties or one of my many pairs of sneakers. My go-to accessories are my round Ray-Ban sunglasses and my dainty gold jewelry passed down to me by my mom and grandma.
When the temperature gets chilly, I throw on a flannel or the camouflage boyfriend shirt that I am wearing in these pictures. For a slightly more important occasion, my choice of attire is a solid color (more than likely, black) dress or romper, chunky heeled booties and my favorite black leather shoulder bag.
I love all things distressed, denim, and boyfriend cut. And of course, a little leather never hurt anyone.
While I dress pretty laid back, Alexander McQueen is my designer crush. I am obsessed with the dark drama that is captured in the collections. My love for intricate and avant-garde clothing definitely contradicts my simple everyday clothing choices.
