Hey everyone! My name is Katarina Dicker, and this is my second term as a CollegeFashionista intern! I am an elementary education major, coffee mug collector, makeup junkie and Kylie Jenner enthusiast. I have always loved fashion, taking photos and writing, which is why CollegeFashionista is a fun way to spend some of my time. For many of us, summer coming to an end is a sad time, but for me (and I know I’m not the only one), I cannot wait to start wearing fall clothes.
I would like to describe my style as simple. I love earthy, plain tones such as black, white, gray, brown, etc. In these photos, I am wearing black high-waisted jeans, a white crop top, a destroyed denim jacket and black ankle boots. I also am able to add some simple gold accessories to my outfit with my thumb ring and stud earrings. My black purse goes great with almost anything, but the gold accent color on my purse went perfectly with my gold accessories. I’m all about matching in little ways.
I get all of my clothes at Target. They always have exactly what I’m looking for. Sometimes it’s hard to find the simplest things. My Fashionista advice is to keep it simple. You can create an awesome look without going above and beyond. My favorite high-waisted jeans can be worn with almost anything, and they can be dressed up or dressed down. A jean jacket is a really nice touch. Make sure to get it a size above your normal shirt size. In my opinion, it looks better to have it a little baggier. Throw on some cute ankle boots, a plain colored shirt and some matching accessories, and you’ll be good to go.
