It’s the most beautiful time of the year on college campuses. It’s the beginning of a new semester of classes, football season is almost here (Hotty Toddy!) and new students are pouring in wearing oh so many different trends. One of my favorite things about this magical time of year is a new semester with CollegeFashionista!
Hello my fellow Fashionistas/os! My name is Katelin Davis, and this is my second semester working for CollegeFashionista. If you’re new to the CollegeFashionista family, here is the rundown on all things me.
I’m currently a junior at the University of Mississippi pursuing a degree in print journalism with minors in Religious Studies and Political Science. Over the past year, my style has evolved so much, and I owe a lot of that to the amazing people I’ve met through CollegeFashionista! It’s so inspirational to see a person display their personality through their outfits, and I’m looking forward to capturing more of these moments with fellow classmates this upcoming semester.
Personally, I love to shake things up a bit, and my style reflects that part of my personality. My favorite part of fashion is the outlet it gives a person to express themselves. It’s all about radiating what you feel from the inside or on bad days letting the favorite pair of shoes make you feel a little better. With this motto in mind, I live to wear what makes me happy. This normally includes hours of sifting through thrift shop racks for unique retro pieces to pair with the latest trends.
My favorite find right now is this Clueless-inspired top from a thrift shop in New Orleans (for three dollars—score!). For modern pieces, I normally aim for comfort with a bohemian edge. You can more often than not catch me in loose fitting everything, from T-shirts to boyfriend jeans paired with tons of rings.
That’s me and my style in a nutshell. I’m so excited to see all of your fashionable faces around campus!
