Hey there my fellow Fashionistas/os! My name is Katelin Davis. I’m wrapping up my senior year at the University of Mississippi with a major in print journalism and minors in religious studies and political science. It’s been a while since my last Style Guru bio but not much has changed but my hair. I finally committed to the Audrey Hepburn chop. Aside from the split from my long-term locks, I’m still passionately committed to coffee, Hall and Oates records and singing extremely off-key to the latest Griswold’s song.
My fashion has slowly evolved to match the icon who inspired my initial chop. I’ve grown to love the subtle sophistication of a minimalist style. As Coco Chanel once said, “Before leaving the house, a lady should look in the mirror and remove one accessory.” I’ve slowly replaced my love of bold patterns with tons of neutrals paired in interesting ways. I love combining male inspired street wear with a pop of femininity.
The outfit I’m wearing is an example of my go-to style. I currently live in my adidas Campus sneakers, and I normally have on at least one article of denim a day. I adore flowy neutral tops with a little edge. I got this beauty at Urban Outfitters. My ring is inspired by an ’80s trend and was actually handmade from a spoon! I got it at a local flea market and I haven’t removed it from my left ring finger since. I might actually have to negotiate another finger for my future engagement ring so this beauty can stay (wink wink).
