Sweet summertime is here Fashionistas! My name is Katelyn Sampl, and I am getting ready to attend Florida State University as a freshman in the fall. I will major in Retail Merchandising and Product Development, and I plan to minor in Entrepreneurship.
After working for a local clothing boutique called Orange Blossom Boutique and Gallery, I have gained knowledge in customer service, merchandising, wholesale buying and managing inventory. While working at the boutique, I enjoyed the experience of dressing the store’s mannequins with the newest arrivals of the season and styling outfits in order to snap a picture and post it on social media. I am beyond excited to be a part of the CollegeFashionista team as a Style Guru! I love all things fashion and this internship allows me to write about trends, styles and outfit details on a weekly basis.
My style and fashion blog, Luv2styl on Instagram, shows my daily style and fashion favorites. I love to mix and match classic patterns and layer jackets and vests over my tops or dresses. My style is classy and I like to keep my wardrobe filled with staple pieces and neutrals. My dream job would be to work as a styling editor at a magazine like People StyleWatch. This would allow me to style the outfits and accessories for the photo shoots. I love to help dress other people because a great outfit boosts confidence and also gives the best first impression!
For this look, I chose the items of clothing that best represent my personal style. I incorporated a staple piece, the white button-down shirt, with a pair of trendy, Aztec printed shorts. A white button-down shirt is a must-have in any Fashionista’s closet because it is so versatile and can be a starting point for any chic look. My favorite color to wear this season is a light, blush pink. This H&M blush pink scarf has tassels at the ends and can add an extra layer to any outfit. I kept the accessories for this look simple. I stacked a few Bourbon & Boweties bracelets on my wrist because I absolutely adore an arm party full of jewels. This outfit would be perfect for any summer activity including attending a casual graduation party or hitting a barbecue with friends and family.
I am thrilled to pursue my passion for fashion with CollegeFashionista and at Florida State University. I hope to give some tips and advice, as well as learn from other Style Gurus. I hope you are as ready as I am for a fashionable season of style!
