Hello my fellow fashion lovers!
My nickname is Kat and I am currently on summer break from SUNY New Paltz where I study Public Relations. I am so excited to have this fashion outlet for the summer, because for the most part, I’m stuck in black pants, a button-down black dress shirt and black non-slip clogs, waiting tables. I’m constantly looking at my customer’s outfits and envying their unique style.
When I’m outside of work, I choose my outfits thoughtfully. My journey through college has had a huge impact on the way I choose to dress myself every day. As a student at SUNY Purchase where I majored in Opera Studies and Vocal Performance, it was important that the students in the conservatory presented themselves in a tasteful way. No sweatpants allowed! Because of this, I began building a wardrobe of well-fitted, classic pieces.
I then moved on to SUNY New Paltz where the students are more removed from an upbeat city lifestyle. They are relaxed in the Shawangunk Mountains and reflect this in their wardrobe by the natural colors and materials they choose to wear.
I now have a wardrobe full of grays, blacks and whites, with a splash of red here and there; it’s mostly made up of blazers, jumpsuits and high-waisted pants.
Today, I’m wearing a dress from my new favorite online store, Tautmun. This off-the-shoulder piece is my favorite for throwing on with some sandals. But I decided to dress it up a bit with my wooden heels. I’m also wearing a long necklace from Forever 21.
You can amp up any outfit with some bright red lips!
