Dang, back at it again with another STYLE GURU BIO for CollegeFashionista! My name is Katie Keogh and this is my third semester on the Style Guru team.
I’m a senior at SUNY Oneonta with a major in communication studies. I hope to use this degree to go into the social media aspect of the fashion industry. I’m already starting to make moves on this goal. This summer, I’ll be interning at Chikimiki on their social media team in New York City! I’ll be commuting by train from my home on Long Island on a weekly basis to help them expand on their social media platforms and blog. I’m excited to work with them while continuing my internship here.
Summer is one of my favorite seasons to showcase my style. I draw inspiration from California boho style, which is a classic staple for the warm and sunny weather. It’s easy to incorporate it into your wardrobe with current trends.
My look for this post is inspired by one of Taylor Hill’s Coachella outfits from this year. Flared pants have made their way into clothing lines since the past summer season, and they’re still a great piece. I found a pair with elephants on them, which are too cute! I paired my black halter top with a choker. I added a black wedge sandal to the outfit. The memory foam footbed and statement buckle make them comfortable and fashionable. To complete the look, I tied my hair in a messy bun and added a bandana to keep it chic.
This summer will be one for the books. I look forward to sharing my style tips with everyone, so be sure to keep updated on what I’m working on!
