Hello from the Jersey side! Strangers call me Katie, but since you’re reading my bio I’d love to have you as friend, so you can call me what all my besties call me: Kat! In the summers I spend my time at home in the parts of Jersey that are collectively considered the Philadelphia area, but as for the rest of the year, I study mass communications and fashion merchandising at the University of South Carolina. Although I left home for an education that feels like it exists in another realm, my heart and my fashion scream Northeast style.
My past is everything but unique. I grew up in a small town, got good grades, applied to a million schools that fit the criteria of being way too far away, packed my bags and started my adult life (still working on that). It wasn’t until the second semester of my freshman year that I knew my life finally found its purpose.
Out of boredom, curiosity and an open time slot, I took an introductory fashion class for fun. I knew I had a shopping problem that probably needed professional help (I kid… maybe), but never did I think my obsessive habit could turn into my life’s mission. I fell in love with the class and jumped into the fashion world head first. So here I am doing every little thing that will feed my style hunger and hoping that I can inspire fashion lovers too!
I’m an avid Cheez-it eater, a Facebook zombie and a Halloween enthusiast. I’m a passionate writer, a bold communicator and a social media aficionado. I live for warm nights on the Jersey Shore boardwalks (no, I do not know Snooki), I tell myself repeatedly my diet will start tomorrow and I like to spend most of my free time wandering through the aisles of Target. I’m a 21-year-old who loves Finding Nemo too much (I’ll be first in line at midnight for Finding Dory), I’m a senior who doesn’t really have it all together and I’m a young woman with independence and self-righteousness written on her forehead.
Join me in my Fashionista journey where I flaunt cute T-shirts like the sassy T-shirt above and sky-high heels. Of course, my comfy American Eagle Outfitters jeans are something you’ll see me in throughout every season. To put it all together, I always add a little jewelry and a cool lipstick like the NYX one I’m wearing. I aim for a simple girl boss look, so follow me and be a girl boss, too.
