Hello Fashionistas! My name is Katie and this fall I will be attending Kent State University for fashion merchandising. I am so excited to start my new journey as a freshman in college as well as participate in the CollegeFashionista Style Guru program.
Now to tell you a little about myself! One of my favorite hobbies is figure skating. I have been skating for about 11 years now. I was inspired to take skating lessons after watching the movie Ice Princess. I would pretend to skate in socks on the hardwood floor in my living room while I would watch Michelle Trachtenberg jump and spin across the ice. I later begged my mom to sign me up for classes and not long after fell in love with the sport.
Another one of my passions is writing. I love to write and hope someday I can become a fashion journalist. I have a blog called where I share fashion inspiration, interview other bloggers and brands, as well as tell stories about my life. Blogging is one of my favorite things to do when I’m not studying, skating, etc. Some of my other favorite things include old movies (especially anything with Audrey Hepburn), lipstick (I love a classic red), lattes, rainy days and the perfect agenda.
I would describe my style as classic, feminine and simple. I love brands such as Madewell, J.Crew, kate spade and Zara. Today, I paired a simple white T-shirt and black leggings with a chambray shirt and peep-toe heels. I love this outfit because it is so comfortable and perfect for a lazy day.
