Hello friends! My name is Katie Shaffer and I am a sophomore psychology major at Saint Mary’s College. I am so happy to be back for my second semester with CollegeFashionista. I think I can speak for a lot of people when I say that fall is the best season of the year, so I am excited to see what this semester holds!
My mom tells me that I have always had a love for fashion. As a little girl, I would never leave the house without my heels and pearl necklaces. I will admit that they were made of plastic, but that didn’t make me feel any less glamorous. I like to think that my style has evolved, but I still love a pair of killer heels and a statement necklace. I always have a problem describing my personal style because I haven’t quite figured it out yet. Right now I love making old trends new again. I also love turning to celebrities like Alexa Chung, Bella Hadid and Tanya Burr for inspiration. My motto is that if you like it and you feel good in it, then you should wear it. While it’s fun to incorporate trends into your style, you should always dress for yourself and wear what makes you comfortable.
One thing that you should know about me is that I love rompers. I love them in the spring, summer, fall and even winter. When styling a romper for colder weather, I like to pair it with tights. I usually stick with plain black, but it’s always fun to add some color as well. My favorite part of the outfit I’m wearing are my shoes. I love having a statement piece in anything I wear and these are definitely it. I’m the kind of girl that brings my purse everywhere, so this small bag is perfect for those days that I don’t feel like lugging around a huge bag. I just throw my money, my keys and a lip product in it and I’m good to go. To pull everything together I added a simple bracelet and a fun, personalized ring.
Thanks for reading and I am looking forward to a RAD semester!
