Spring semester is quickly approaching, and I can feel the anticipation in the air as we reach the new year. To formally introduce myself, my name is Katlin, and I have a thing for words. I’ve always held an interest in fashion but never imagined it as a career. As I grew older and figured out my personal sense of style, I began to follow bloggers with similar styles and looking up to them. It was only recently that I fell into this whirlwind industry and realized I love it enough to pursue it. Within this past year, I have launched my personal blog, volunteered at a fashion show, and taken part in fashion-related internships. The most unexpected passions can lead to a world of opportunity.
I currently attend St. Petersburg College part-time online, and I am working towards a general associates of arts degree. Once I earn this first degree, I plan to set my major for english and creative writing. With online schooling, I have a flexible schedule and the availability to complete my work wherever I may be. Given the amount of time that I spend traveling, this is the best option for me. There are so many people to see and places to go, making it a chore in itself to stay in one place for long. I’m happiest out on the open road.
My style leans more toward classic and chic. I’m a big fan of black and white along with neutral tones. However, my favorite color has to be light pink. Anything in that shade, from faux fur coats to cute coffee mugs, makes me swoon. In this outfit, I’m wearing my favorite faux suede jacket that’s light enough for Florida winters and makes the perfect compliment to any outfit. I paired this with a white off-the-shoulder top and high waist, distressed black skinny jeans. My sister gave me the jeans as a Christmas gift because I continuously wore her pair on repeat. I used black ankle boots and a little black handbag to accessorize and increase the style factor of the look. The boots have been a staple piece of mine for a while now, and the bag was another Christmas gift!
I’m looking forward to this semester as a first time Style Guru!
