Hello! My name is Kayla and this is my third semester and unfortunately, my last semester as a Style Guru. As the spring approaches, I will be graduating and closing the door on my college years. I am both very excited and very frightened to take a swing at the real world. I do not have any pre-planned arrangements for after graduation but I intend to take every opportunity that comes my way. Although, I know that all of my future endeavors will include doing what I love most: exploring and keeping up with fashion trends. I have always had such an open mind when it comes to fashion. I love being exposed to unique styles and trends that come from all different areas. There’s nothing that intrigues me more than adventuring to a different city or to a different country and observing that culture’s fashion sense. I especially appreciate when I am abroad because it is so entertaining trying to blend in with my style to match the locals. I am more than enthusiastic to begin yet another semester on the CollegeFashionista team.
I’m grateful that I had the chance to intern with CollegeFashionista for the past three semesters. I knew that I loved fashion from such a young age and interning within this community has allowed me to further pursue that interest. For some, sometimes the hardest choice of being a college student is recognizing what you want to pursue for you future. In my case, I had to make the hardest choice of whether or not to invest my four years of college into either, fashion or a career that is ‘socially’ considered to be more professional. It was such a heartbreaking decision for me to not choose to pursue fashion. Thankfully, through CollegeFashionista’s supportive community I got the opportunity to continue pursuing what I had always loved most.
