Hello everyone! My name is Kayla Riddick, and I am a senior biology student at North Carolina A&T State University. I am very excited to be a part of the CollegeFashionista team as a Style Guru Intern. Just a little about myself: Charlotte native, aspiring model, shoe addict. The quote that I live by is, “ Walk by faith, not by sight.” I am a firm believer that anybody can do anything that they put their mind to.
One of the things that made me fall in love with fashion is that it does not have any limits! Some people beg to differ, but I like to say that fashion is in the eye of the beholder. Everyone was meant to have their own style; therefore, do not let anyone tell you otherwise. Having your own style makes you unique. As they say, first impressions are everything!
Walking into this new year as a Style Guru, I plan to spread all the hottest looks around my campus and show off my style to hopefully be a help to someone else. Shown in the pictures above, I am wearing a plain black v-neck shirt and gray ripped jeans from Old Navy; I believe I caught the shirt on sale for $8 and the jeans for $15. Also, I am wearing a black and gray striped shawl I purchased from Forever 21 for $17 and my new favorite suede knee-high boots from Kloset Envy for $50. Oh! Let me not forget about my chocker from Aldo that was on sale for $7.
