My name is Kelly Lovelace, and I am a rising junior at Virginia Commonwealth University. My love for fashion influenced my decision to major in fashion merchandising with a minor in general business. I plan to live in New York City and pursue a career in fashion after graduating. Being a Virginia Beach native has influenced my love of a fun, beachy and boho-chic style. Although the beach will always have my heart, I have grown to admire Richmond’s fast-paced city life. Everyone has their own unique style and I love the urban, city styles I see on a day to day basis! Living in the city for the past two years has definitely influenced my style and I am always eager to try new looks.
One of my favorite things to do in my spare time is online shop, I’m a bit of a “shopaholic” I guess you could say. In addition to fashion, I enjoy spending my time surrounded by friends and family and I am always up for an adventure to some place I have never been. Living in the city has given me the opportunity to explore new places.
My style is evolving everyday. On a casual summer day, I catch myself wearing a cute pair of cutoff shorts and a simple T-shirt paired with some accessories. I always use accessories to add a splash of color to my outfits, as you can see in my Style Guru pictures. Sometimes I will find myself revolving my outfits around a pair of shoes or a necklace I want to wear. Some of my favorite places to shop are Urban Outfitters, Nordstrom and if I’m shopping online, my go to sites are Revolve and Lulu’s.
