Hey there, fellow Fashionistas/os! My name is Kelsey Cadenas, and I am excited to say that this is now my third semester here as a Style Guru with CollegeFashionista. I am currently a sophomore at the Savannah College of Art and Design majoring in fashion marketing and management, and I am loving every second of it.
Fashion is something that is not necessarily understood by all. It is a concept that most people find, tedious, trivial and maybe superficial just because it is all about outer appearances. Fashion is way more than that. It is a concept and a career that is constantly evolving and limitless in terms of stylistic possibilities, and it is something I am truly passionate about and it drives me insane. Constantly shopping and looking up inspirational images and looks from other bloggers, designers and Fashionistas/os is something that fascinates me. I mean, who wouldn’t want to have a career where you basically get paid to go shopping?
When it comes to my personal style, I’d have to say that I am pretty much all over the place. I love to experiment with different pieces, textures, patterns and styles just because I do not like limiting myself to just one specific style. Fashion and style is so much more than just one style or just one trend, and I like to explore all the options so that I know I am not missing out on anything. At the moment, I will have to admit that I am digging the whole lace-up trend. Lace-up shoes, lace-up tops, lace-up skirts: you name it, I’ll most likely buy it.
Just like trends in fashion, my style is constantly changing, and that is something I love about being a Style Guru. You are meeting new peopl, and are constantly inspired by the people that surround you or the people that you feature in your next article. These people shed light to new items and trends that may spark your interest, and that is something I cannot wait to do this spring semester as a Style Guru here at CollegeFashionista. Cheers to another semester full of inspirationally stylish people brought to you by the chicest kids here at the Savannah College of Art and Design!
