Hi there, I am Kelsey Snyder. This is my first semester working with CollegeFashionista and I could not be more excited! I am currently entering my junior year here at Kent State University where I study fashion merchandising, while minoring in sports administration. While on campus, I have been a member of the Fashion Student Organization & a sister of Alpha Xi Delta sorority. I am always looking for more opportunities to become involved, especially within my major, which sparked my interest in becoming a Style Guru this semester.
I have always had a love for clothing and trends. However, I did not always know what area I would like to focus on in the fashion industry. Growing up I have always dressed in a way that was different than most, without fear of trying the latest fashion statements. I truly do love all clothing and styles but my most favorite to decorate my closet with is anything bohemian-inspired! Although I love to play modern day hippie, I do have a sporty side and have enjoyed seeing the entire athleisure movement take off these last few seasons through brands such as Fabletics and CALIA by Carrie Underwood. So what better way to incorporate my yoga-hippie style with my sport fanatic side then to compliment my fashion major with a sports minor? This dynamic duo of studies will hopefully lead me to a career within a company that specializes in athletic wear such as yoga apparel, workout clothes, etc. I am so fortunate that Kent State University has offered me the opportunity to find my true passion and I am looking forward to where it may lead me!
In this look, I am wearing a simple cotton dress with fringe trim, paired with bold accessories such as a tie-dye top knot headband and gypsy inspired necklaces and rings. The suede saddlebag and faux suede booties add a cohesive element to this bohemian look.
