Hello there, Fashionistas/os! My name is Kelsie and I am a freshman at Colorado State University where I am studying fashion merchandising and design. I have a love for fashion, photography, and all things artistic. I am so honored to be joining the CollegeFashionista team this semester and I can’t wait to share my passion for fashion with you all!
I have always been drawn to fashion. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been somewhat obsessed with it. I grew up binging on Project Runway and flipping through the pages of Teen Vogue. I am a firm believer that with the right choices, fashion can make anyone feel beautiful! I believe that style carries a message of how we want to portray ourselves to others and our personal style is a direct form of self-expression. One of the primary reasons that I am so intrigued by fashion is because I know that it is capable of empowering each and every one of us.
I consider my style to be simple and chic. My wardrobe is primarily composed of classic pieces that will never go out of style. I love that many of the clothes I own can be versatile for whatever the occasion might be. I’ve always tried to embrace change in my life, so I love stepping outside of my traditional style and experimenting with current trends.
For this look, I paired a delicate embroidered blouse with skinny black jeans and booties to give the simple look an edgy flare. This neutral colored long cardigan sweater is a winter must! I love this cardigan because it is a classic piece that will perfectly pair with every look. Finally, the burgundy bag adds the perfect pop of color.
