Hi guys! I’m Kiana, a sophomore at the University of Iowa. My major is international relations which explains my desire to travel and learn about other areas of the world and the people that live there. When I’m not studying you can find me online shopping, watching YouTube vlogs, or visiting the animal shelter.
Clothing has been a way for me to express myself since before I could properly use words to express myself. Whether it was wearing a full leopard bodysuit every time I went to the grocery store or wearing family members’ high heels that were taller than myself around the house, I always liked to push the envelope with fashion choices. While I have toned my outfits down (slightly) since then, fashion has still been a good way for me to express myself.
Lately I have really enjoyed combining dressy pieces with more casual ones. For example, I might wear very distressed jeans and a baseball cap but pair it with high heels, as I did in this look. Another example of this go-to combination is Kardashian inspired with dressy thigh high heeled boots paired with a casual baggy sweatshirt. The dressy yet casual combination is simply so versatile that it can be used for any location, event, or season and I am loving it. While this is my favorite style right now it is sure to change and grow. I love not only expanding my closet but also my perspectives on beauty and confidence.
