Hey Fashionistas/os, my name is Kiley and this is my third semester writing as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista! I am a senior at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, graduating in May with a degree in Retailing and Consumer Behavior and a certificate in Entrepreneurship. I am excited to spend another semester scouting out the stylish students on Madison’s campus.
Last spring I spent the semester studying abroad in Rome, Italy and I am excited to be back in Madison this year. Experiencing all of the various styles in different cities and countries every weekend really opened my eyes to the unique fashions and trends in Europe and living with eight other girls in a new city really helped me break out of my shell in terms of style and encouraged me to be more daring with my wardrobe choices.
I have always had a love for all things fashion and it has only grown as I’ve gotten older. I work at a shoe store in Madison, which has only made my shoe problem grow. I love to throw on a pair of my favorite booties every chance I get, especially when it adds a little height to my life. There are definitely some perks of being short. Besides my booties, my leather jacket is my go-to piece. I got the jacket in Italy last spring and have worn it constantly ever since. Every girl or guy should have a leather jacket in their closet. There are so many different variations you can style with this piece! For this outfit, I chose to layer it with a comfy plaid flannel, a pair of my favorite jeans and a beanie. The outfit is casual, yet stylish and perfect for walking around Madison.
