New year, new STYLE GURU BIO, but mostly still the same old me. Hello again to all of my fellow Fashionistas and Fashionistos! I’m excited to be returning as a Style Guru for my second semester with CollegeFashionista. I had a blast this past semester creating content and am looking forward to a #RAD spring semester and 2017 with you all.
As mentioned in my previous STYLE GURU BIO, I’m a junior at Rutgers University majoring in journalism and media studies with a minor in business administration. I aspire to work in media production, specifically in the beauty or fashion industry. The three guiding F’s in my life include film, food, and fashion.
I typically gravitate towards a more monochromatic color scheme since it’s timeless and easy to pair with. However, this year I want to add a bit more color into my life. Two of my favorite colors to wear are blush pink and dark green. They’re beautiful colors that can work with any skin tone, and are perfect for the spring. I paired both colors here in the turtleneck, leather jacket and high-waisted skinny jeans. I rolled up the jeans for a cuter look but balanced it all out with my favorite pair of kick ass combat boots. This is my own take on the classic biker chic look with a more feminine twist.
The best part of being a Style Guru last semester was being able to share style advice and tips from my friends. Everyone has their own unique style, and I can’t wait to further share with all of you fashion trends around my campus and my very own personal style.
