Hello there, Fashionistas/os! My name is Kimmie and I’m super pumped to be a Style Guru this summer! I am entering my senior year at Ithaca College where I study Communication Management and Design with a concentration in Corporate Communication.
I grew up in a small hamlet in the Hudson Valley Region of New York where fashion, in my opinion, isn’t such a big deal. But, at a young age I was able to develop a sense of style reading magazines and watching fashion Guru’s on Youtube. This semester I studied abroad in Madrid, Spain which only made my love for fashion grow deeper.
If you see a girl walking on the street in booties and wearing black, it’s probably me. Black is my staple color and honestly makes up more than 90 percent of my wardrobe (not lying). I’m all about comfort and loving the skin I was given. I love finding pieces that I can dress down during the day with a pair of booties, then dress up at night with a pair of heels and jewelry.
This look is a tad different from what I usually wear, but since it’s almost summer I have to add some color! I am wearing a striped, colored bodysuit from Zara and some baggy vintage jeans that I got in Spain from Zara, as well. I paired it up with a very oversized, comfortable and chunky cardigan I got from Aeropostale a year or two ago and finished it off with some cute brown booties.
Fashion is my art and the way I express myself to everyone around me. I cannot wait to show you all my style!
