Hello gorgeous! I’m Kimberlyn, and this is my first semester as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista. I am a communication major at the College of Charleston in Charleston, SC. I want to do public relations and marketing after I graduate. I am so excited for the fall because I love boots, layers, pumpkin patches and hot chocolate.
I was born in Fort Payne, Alabama, but moved to South Carolina several years ago. This influenced my interest in fashion coming from a small town to one of the up and coming fashion cities on the east coast. I love combining classic pieces with vintage accents. I also like finding affordable fashion and beauty products.
My personal style is about comfort and ease. I am attracted to pieces of clothing that are versatile and can be dressed up or down. Finding a simple dress that is flattering, can be thrown on at the last minute and still look amazing is something I live for. Pictured here I am wearing a pair of high-waisted denim shorts, a detailed dressy tank and a classic open black blazer.
When I am not painting or sewing a new outfit, I can be found reading a good book, searching for new music or singing at the top of my lungs in the car. If you can’t find me doing one of those things I am probably exploring streets downtown and taking pictures of historic architecture to use as inspiration in clothing or painting.
