Hi y’all! I’m Kinsey Clemmer, I am a junior at Oklahoma State University, and this is my first semester as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista. I’m studying strategic communications with an emphasis in public relations at Oklahoma State, and I am SO obsessed with my degree program! My ultimate career goal would be to work in the communications department of a fashion magazine or luxury brand. So after graduation, I will be making the move to New York to chase that dream that I know so many of us Fashionista/os have.
My personal style tends to be a little less trendy and a little more classic and timeless. That’s not to say I don’t love myself a good body suit or two. I believe in investing in more expensive, timeless pieces; I believe in fabulous sunglasses; I believe in great denim; I believe in carrying massive handbags; and I believe in finding one’s own style and rocking it. I refuse to recognize that Carrie Bradshaw is a fictional character because she is my biggest fashion inspiration; frankly, she is my biggest life inspiration. We could all learn a thing or two from Carrie Bradshaw!
In this particular look, I am giving some major southwestern vibes, which is only proper considering my proud Oklahoma roots. (Don’t let this fool you; tomorrow, I will probably be wearing black leather leggings and a fur coat as my style is extremely diverse.) I am wearing my collared, button-up dress that is completely versatile, a heavy cardigan from Mango and my favorite turquoise beads and silver earrings from a lovely shop in Santa Fe, New Mexico. I also paired some great heels and a large Tory Burch tote with the look.
I am so excited to get this semester underway, and I’m sending love and good vibes from Oklahoma!
