Hello, fellow Fashionistas/os! My name is Kira Pauley and I am a sophomore at the University of Kentucky majoring in merchandising with two minors: one in business and another in photography. This is my third semester writing for CollegeFashionista and I am so excited to see what it will have in store! Over the summer, I was hard at work with online classes. However, I managed to slip away to visit my parents in Boston, Massachusetts and have the opportunity to do many fun things like go to Victoria Secret’s Camp Pink with other Style Guru’s as a part of CollegeFashionista! Meeting and hanging out with them was definitely the highlight of my summer.
This summer I also started to appreciate interior design since I have moved into my new house. The house was built in the 1930s and I noticed that the way I have decorated it also matches up with the way I dress. I love combining modern and vintage while still focusing on the details. This has been found in my new living space as well as the clothing I wear.
You can usually find me in pieces that are casual but paired with my favorite jewelry to bring the look together. This is represented in my outfit above where I went with this amazing maxi dress (in a different color here) that was not only on sale but also comfortable and has pockets! Since this is such a stand out piece, I wanted to keep the accessories simple so I added some gold and black jewelry with these cute sandals and a fringe bag. Such a good outfit to end the summer with!
I cannot wait to see what new things come of this fall and how my style and yours will change over the next few months. Lets have a RAD semester!!
