Hello, fellow Fashionistas/os! My name is Kirby Kelly, and I am a double major in English and Communication Technology at Ohio State. I’ll be heading into my junior year of college, and this summer marks my second semester with CollegeFashionista. I’m looking forward to bettering my content and getting inspired by my fellow Style Gurus over the next several weeks!
My style is very minimal and streamlined. The fewer accessories I have on, the better, and I gravitate towards shades of black, white and gray. Over the course of college, I’ve discovered the importance of having go-to pieces and great basics that can be worn in numerous ways. My warm weather uniform is a comfy T-shirt and high-waisted shorts or boyfriend jeans with a metallic sandal. However, you’ll also find me experimenting with patterns such as gingham in the summer. I’m currently all about ’70s vibes, statement sunglasses and white denim.
I’m also passionate about veganism, and not just food-wise, either. My goal is to prove that animal-friendly fashion can be just as chic, and I look for high-quality synthetic fabrics and faux leather whenever I shop.
Though my dreams include becoming an NYC-based digital editor for a fashion magazine someday, my interests span beyond fashion and beauty. At OSU, I’m the newly-elected vice president of the Amateur Student Radio organization, and I contribute to various student publications. I love checking out local concerts, indulging in Columbus’s coffee scene, lifting heavy weights and practicing yoga.
I’m excited once again to deliver posts to you each week. Check back every week for great advice from all of your Buckeye Style Gurus!
