Hi everyone, I am so happy to be returning for my fourth semester with the CollegeFashionista team! I am a senior at Temple University in my favorite city of Philadelphia, studying Jewish Studies and Leadership with an extreme passion for fashion.
I define my style as one of simplicity — you will find me in an outfit that is cute, casual and classy. When it comes to my closet of clothing the colors vary from black to black to maybe some more black with some gray, some olive green, maybe a touch of navy. Overall, I am a neutral girl and my wardrobe definitely represents that. Recently, with the influx of color in the fashion world I have taken it upon myself to try to implement some color into my own personal style.
As I begin to add some variety to my shopping adventures, I make it a point to remain true to my comfort level. One of the most famous designers, and a favorite of mine, Ralph Lauren says, “Style is very personal. It has nothing to do with fashion. Fashion is over quickly. Style is forever.” I try to live my life by this quote. The fashion industry is constantly changing, but my belief is that if you have confidence in yourself and your style, whether or not you are completely up to date with the newest trends or you prefer to kick it old school, it will radiate to others. Some of my favorite trends come from brands like Free People, Kut from the Kloth skinny jeans and shiny black leggings from American Apparel.
Although the bitter winter chill is still here, the spring season is not too far away and I cannot wait for the stylish students I see campus. Some trends I am most excited for are reconstructed denim, leather everything and for flats, sneakers and even more flats. The entire world of tall people (me included) is saying thank you for flats. I hope to make my last semester as a Style Guru my best and cannot wait to start snapping pictures and writing articles!
