Hi there, Fashionistas/os! My name is Kristen Mavaro and this is my first semester of being a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista. I’m extremely excited to take part in this wonderful experience. Being a Style Guru has always been a dream of mine, and I’m so honored to be able to learn new things during this internship. I hope to gain more knowledge, inspiration and skills throughout this experience. Fashion is not only something I love, but it’s also my passion. I’m the person that loves to explore different styles and wear the latest trends.
I would describe my style has being very chic and elegant. However, I don’t have a set style that I must wear everyday. There are those days for every Fashionista where they don’t feel like getting dressed up. I love to constantly find new ways to change my style and find different outfits to wear that best represent me. I’m the biggest fashion geek out there, so I always want to be creative and stylish when it comes to the clothes that I put together. My go-to stores are Forever 21, Express, Francesca’s and H&M. These stores always have the latest trending clothes and all of the different styles that people would want to wear. I like to think of myself as being a divergent of style: completely unique and captivating when it comes to wearing clothes.
I can’t wait to hopefully gain more opportunities like this internship in the near future. I’m excited to see what this experience has to offer, and I hope it is a crazy, eventful, inspirational and fearsome journey that leads me on the right path. As Coco Chanel said, “Life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.” I hope this quote inspires several other Fashionistas/os to pursue their dreams, because it has greatly moved me!
