Hello there my fellow comrade in style! My name is Kyndal Reimer and I’m going into my junior year at Iowa State University majoring in Public Relations. I am also one of a zillion twenty-somethings that have next to no clue what they want to do beyond schooling. Can I get a holla back girl? One thing I do know is I have always loved fashion and putting my words into print. That being said, I’m more than excited to start my first semester as a Style Guru!
I graduated from a small town Iowa high school in 2014 with a class of around 60 people, and I was one of four students who didn’t play a sport involving a ball or field. Instead, I spent my days grooving on the dance team and packing my schedule full of art and English classes. It’s a classic tale of a eyeliner engulfed headphones girl blossoming into the exuberant, style and confident gal she is today.
When pegged with the question: “Kyndal! How would you describe your personal style?” I would say I’m a modern version of a rebellious ’50s chick. However, I enjoy the bohemian and ’90s style as well. I’m a firm believer in wearing whatever you want. Whether that’s a dress and Converse or pajamas. Some common themes you’ll find in my closet are comfortable pieces and loud colors. My favorite is a romper like the one I’m pictured in. It has the looks of a nice dress without the stress of a mischievous gust of wind making you paranoid that the world is going to get a peek at your undies. I love pairing unexpected colors and prints with one another.
I look forward to expressing the many genres of Kyndal this semester as a Style Guru!
