Hey there, fellow Fashionistas! My name is Lanie and I am currently a junior about to attend Cal Poly State – San Luis Obispo where I will be majoring in communications and looking to minor in integrated marketing. Writing is my passion and making my work public for the world to enjoy is the dream. I am nearly 20 years old, though, I am the height of a seventh grader. Heels are definitely considered a best friend of mine.
San Diego is where I happily call home, so it is obvious to say that bohemian style is my weapon of choice. I have always drawn most of my fashion inspiration from brunch outings, my favorite Sunday tradition, and music festivals. In a place as sunny as this, how can one not indulge in one too many bathing suits and pairs of daisy dukes?
On a lovely summer day, this is typically my go-to outfit for the beach. It’s fast, flirty and fun. “Fun pants,” as I like to call them, (because I mean, I’m a fun person, right?) are an easy component for any outfit. They can make you look like you spent hours pondering over an outfit and put it in tons of effort, but in reality you totally wore these bed to last night and felt too lazy to change in the morning.
Sunglasses are an absolute must in my day-to-day life. I am never seen without my favorite shades. Having multiple pairs to choose from is a necessity, for they can absolutely add to any outfit in your closet.
When I feel like dressing up an outfit, I utilize as many accessories as I can. A watch can instantly provide the most casual outfit possible with a little bit of flair. Matched with the simplicity of stacked rings makes for the ultimate effortless look.
