Hello Fashionistas! My name is Lauren, but I love going by my nickname, Lo. This is my first semester as a Style Guru, and I’m writing from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. I’m so excited to share my perspective on college fashion trends with you!
Currently, I’m a junior studying Fashion Merchandising with a minor in Business. I also hold a position as treasurer for my department’s fashion club, Montage. I have big hopes and dreams to be working in the fashion industry once I graduate.
Besides school, I enjoy binge-watching on Netflix, sweating in yoga and Pure Barre classes, getting inspired by Pinterest, seeking adventures, indulging in chocolate and working part time in retail. I’ve also been busy creating my own fashion and lifestyle blog called Blonde in Boots. Feel free to check it out!
My outfit inspiration for this post came purely from my love of leopard print. I wanted to show a look that could be transitioned from summer to fall while staying true to my personal style. H&M recently opened a new store in Lincoln, where I purchased my fabulous leopard sweater and booties. A little black dress can be found just about anywhere and is a major wardrobe staple piece! I’ve had my leather bag for a while, but similar options can be found at department stores such as Nordstrom or Von Maur. One of my gold bangles is from Alex and Ani. I love this piece because I purchased it at the Alex and Ani store while I was in Las Vegas for Magic Tradeshow. The charm on the bangle is a symbol of strength, motivation and knowledge. Adding pieces that hold sentimental value bring so much more richness to an outfit that can’t be bought in a store.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this little preview into my style and I can’t wait to share more! Please follow my social media accounts to stay updated with my posts, and don’t forget to give them a RAD.
