Hello world and fellow college Fashionistas and Fashionistos, My Name is Lauren Lyford! I’m kicking it in the ZOU with my fellow tigers at The University of Missouri as a junior. I am studying Textile and Apparel Management, Fashion and Apparel marketing and Merchandising. And I am beyond stoked to be writing for CollegeFashionista for a second semester! I am from Kansas City, Missouri and as most Midwesterners I can not wait to get out of Missouri and explore the rest of the world.
Some fun facts about me you’ll need to know for the future when I am married to Niall Horan. I am a music, fashion and Supernatural addict. My favorite band is The Maine, who I have been lucky enough to meet, hang out with and even photograph several times. I am obsessed with Lou Teasdale who is a stylist and columnist that works with many celebrities such as One Direction ( if you haven’t guessed already yes I love One Direction and yes their hiatus is tearing me apart inside). Anyway, back to Lou Teasdale her style is so punky glam and is what I am all about.
So for this outfit, which has recently been one of my favorites I tried to create one of Lou’s signature looks. Some Dungarees or better known as overalls, with a thin striped crop top underneath. To break up all of the black I tied a plaid shirt around my waist, because what outfit isn’t complete without a plaid shirt? I mean honestly. And lastly a pair of funky sunnies to top it all off!
