Hello, my fellow fashionistas and fashionistos! Thank you for taking the time to read what I’m all about! My name is Lauren Vecchio, and I’m a sophomore at Marist College (go red foxes!). I’m currently a marketing major with a double minor in fashion merchandising and psychology. This will be my second semester interning for CollegeFashionista, and I couldn’t be more excited to share the eclectic senses of style that I’m inspired by on a daily basis!
Now enough of that boring introductory stuff, who really cares about all of that anyway? Want to know what really makes me tick? The first thing that you need to know about me is that I have a problem…I am a proud Nutella freak. I’ve slathered this liquid gold onto almost everything: sandwiches, bananas, broccoli and best of all – straight onto a spoon with a heaping pile of peanut butter (no shame, no shame). There may or may not even be a spoon that has “Lauren’s Nutella Spoon” engraved on it.
But when I’m not eating ungodly amounts of Nutella, I do enjoy getting my fix of fashion, whether it be through social media like Instagram, Pinterest and Tumblr or through admiring my peers! I really believe that fashion plays an integral role in our well-being as humans. When we like what we see in the mirror, our confidence shoots up, and suddenly it’s like we can take on the world. My dream would be for everyone to be able to feel like this; think of how much we could accomplish if everyone was bringing their A-game because they felt on fleek (sorry, I had to)!
I like to think that my style is so unique it can’t be categorized, but I don’t think I’m that cool, so if I had to put a label on my style, I’d say I’m somewhere along the lines of preppy and trendy (although, I do like to shake it up when I can). The trendy side of my style is definitely showing in this article. I wore a chambray off-the-shoulder top, black jeans and black lace-up heels. Since accessories are vital for any outfit, I topped off the look with a black sunhat, my black structured bag and oodles of silver jewelry!
I hope you enjoy the jumbo, Nutella sized serving of fashion I’m going to throw your way this semester! Stay stylish my friends!
