My name is Leah Blatnikoff and I am a sophomore at Oakland University. I am super pumped to have the opportunity to be a Style Guru. I enjoy anything and everything to do with fashion. I am obsessed with makeup and basically anything to do with Sephora. Any of my friends know I am obsessed with highlighter because there is nothing better than a good glow. Besides makeup and fashion, I also love music and dance. I love dance, fashion, music, and makeup because they all allow me to be able to express myself.
Growing up with only one brother and a family who wasn’t always super fond of the mall, I quickly learned that if I wanted to be a fashionable person, it was up to me. Having the opportunity to create my own style independently allowed me to create an identity that I could truly call my own. Aside from myself, my entire family is pretty sporty, and because of that, I felt the need to find a passion of my own besides dance. This realization was what sparked my interest in makeup. Once I made my first purchase from Sephora, I was hooked. Makeup to me is almost like painting a picture, only your face is the canvas. Some of my all time favorite brands include but are not limited to, Too Faced Cosmetics, Becca Cosmetics and Anastasia Beverly Hills.
My style is always changing and doesn’t fall under one category. If you were to roll a dice, you aren’t likely to roll the same number every time. It’s the same with my style. One day I could be wearing leggings and a casual top, and another day you might find me in jeans and a fun jacket. My style is always changing based on the type of mood I am in and how I’m feeling that day. Unless I have a big event, I am not one to plan my outfits in advance. My mind is always changing and so are my clothes throughout the day. I love exploring new trends and finding new ways to use clothes and accessories to express myself.
