Hi again, Fashionistas and Fashionistos! I am so excited to be returning for my fifth semester as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista. My name is Leah Cunningham and I am a Sociology major and Journalism minor at George Washington University. The last time I was writing for CollegeFashionista, I was living and studying in one of the most fashionable cities in the world: London, England. This time, I will be returning to my original fashion turf of Washington D.C.
Living in London, and Europe in general, for almost five months was nothing short of a fashion lover’s dream. I used my time there as both an opportunity to stock up on Topshop, Miss Selfridge and adidas clothing—all of my favorite British and European brands—before the styles made their way to the American market and also to go on many fun fashion-filled adventures. Not only was I able to attend the launch of Alexa Chung’s AG Jeans collection at Selfridges and stop by London Fashion Week where I spotted some of my favorite Fashionistas, including Alexa Chung and Pixie Geldof, strutting around the Somerset House, but I was also gifted an awesome pair of adidas sneakers by singer Rita Ora and her sister!
I will definitely miss all of the wonderful opportunities and fashion-related activities London had to offer, but I am also very excited to be back in Washington D.C. As the styles of the two cities are so different, I cannot wait to see what’s in store for this fall season. Stay tuned, Fashionistas and Fashionistos!
