Welcome back Style Gurus! My name is Leah Walter and this is my second semester as a Style Guru and I could not be more excited. Last semester I learned so much about person style and loved sharing the street styles Johnson and Wales University is hiding within our campus. With winter coming I’m excited to see the different scarves, hats and different cold weather accessories that everyone will be breaking out when the first snow comes along.
Now here’s little about myself. I am a junior at Johnson and Wales University at the Providence Campus. I am a marketing major and have concentrated my elective classes to focus in fashion merchandising. My dream is to work within the corporate world of the fashion industry. Yes that’s very broad, but I like to stay open minded for new opportunities in the industry I love! I am originally from a small town just south of Boston, Massachusetts. I have constantly noticed my inner preppy northern self coming out more and more.  If I were to describe my style it would be simple and chic but also leaving room for trendy twists.
For this look, I am wearing my favorite blanket scarf, which can double as a wrap if it gets chilly in class. Blanket scarves have to be one of my favorite trends for this season. I paired it with a big knit sweater and a patterned vest. Everyone needs their go-to tote bag in their closet. Totes are a good and stylish way to carry around books and can easily be translated to your weekend bag, too. Take out your notebook and pencil case and you’ll be good to go!
