Hello world! My name is Leah Walter and I am officially a senior at Johnson & Wales University, studying Marketing. I’m originally from a small town in Massachusetts but currently living my college years in the lovely Providence, Rhode Island. I’m a coffee enthusiast, I have the world’s biggest sweet tooth and I’m in love with yoga. I’m so excited to be part of the CollegeFashionista team for a third semester and look forward to reading all the upcoming articles this Summer!
As a Freshman at Johnson & Wales University, I began studying Fashion Merchandising and Retail Marketing. After taking a couple of introductory marketing classes, I found my place. Although I’m a Marketing major, I have a strong passion for the fashion industry. Given the opportunity to be a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista, I’ve been able to create my own brand and meet other Guru’s from across the country!
If I were to describe my person style in three words, they would be simple, chic, and trendy. I’m always wearing classic designs or colors but always adding something trendy to make the look a bit more interesting. These blue and white polka dot pants are hands-down one of my favorites! They’re perfect for summer and can be paired with anything! Not to mention the high-waist and flared leg combination makes you look like you’re as tall as a super model! The waist line adds the perfect amount of femininity to just a loose pant. I decided to dress them down and throw on one of my favorite simple white t-shirt. I always add a necklace for some sparkle.
During the summer, cross-body bags are a MUST. This cross-body jem was a gift from my Aunt from her vacation in Italy. A few essentials you’ll always find me with are my watch, sunglasses, and a couple of hair ties. To all Fashionista/Fashionistos, don’t let the summer heat win!
