Hello, fellow Fashionistas!
My name is Lena LaFratta and I am currently a sophomore at the University at Buffalo. Prior to this I was a fashion merchandising major at Kent State University, but my heart belongs to Buffalo so I have returned home for school. Considering there are no schools known for fashion around here, I am now a marketing major. My passion for fashion is still very much burning, and I hope that one day I can still work with fashion in some way. This will be my first semester as a Style Guru and I am so excited to begin this journey!
My usual style has a bohemian vibe to it. If I could own every article of clothing from Free People, I would do it, but I also enjoy switching it up depending on what mood I am in that day. The magnificent part about clothing is the way it lets you express yourself. I see it as a form of art.
For this look I channeled my inner ’70s vibes and incorporated a bell-sleeved top from Free People since it is in fact one of my favorite stores! I decided to put a suede vest over it which you can never go wrong with… cute and heat effective for Buffalo weather! I paired this top with a pair of high-waisted two-tone jeans and leather boots. In my opinion leather boots are a fashion staple that every Fashionista needs. To keep the outfit exciting, I always like to add a fun necklace (a bolo tie in this case) and a fun print! I decided to incorporate snakeskin with my purse.
