Hey there, Fashionistas! My name is Lexi Persons and I am currently a sophomore at Iowa State University and loving every second of my adventure here. I am majoring in apparel merchandising and design with an emphasis in merchandising and am minoring in entrepreneurial studies as well. This is my first semester as a Style Guru and I am beyond excited for what is to come and can’t wait to further my experience with fashion through CollegeFashionista.
Growing up, even at a young age, the world of fashion intrigued me. As long as I can remember, I was always asking for clothes instead of toys for holidays and birthdays and constantly had a plethora of clothes in my closet. My passion for fashion at such a young age had a lot to do with growing up ten minutes away from the Mall of America (thankfully). As crazy as it sounds, I somehow always knew I wanted to work in the fashion industry even at a young age.
One of my most favorite things in this world is when an outfit comes together perfectly. I love mixing and matching pieces of clothing and jewelry to create a perfect look. Some of my most loved items in my closet are my denim pieces, they are my go-to pieces. Even though I love wearing put together outfits, I also enjoy laid back, easy looks such as jeans paired with a cute graphic T-shirt along with a denim button-down. I am constantly shopping and getting new outfit ideas online as it is one of my main ways to keep up on new trends.
With that being said, I can’t wait to spend this upcoming summer with CollegeFashionista writing about all things fashion!
