Hi there fellow Fashionistas/os!
I am so happy to be back again this semester with CollegeFashionista! I am just starting off my sophomore year at Iowa State University, continuing my education in apparel merchandising and entrepreneurial studies, and couldn’t be more excited for all that this year has in store.
In my opinion, fashion is the perfect way to showcase a little sense who you are. It’s your chance to tell the world about yourself without even having to say anything. Your personal style is the first thing someone can use to get to know you, so in a way, it serves as a great first impression.
To give you a little sense of who I am, let me tell you about my personal style. Some of my favorite items in my closet are my denim pieces. I love everything and anything that is denim. I am all about the grunge casual looks but I also love putting together and wearing well thought out classy outfits.
This outfit encompasses my favorite trends as of right now, the choker and off-the-shoulder tops. I paired my black off-the-shoulder top with my all-time favorite shorts. They are comfortable, soft and all the more fashionable! When trying to complete this outfit, I knew I wanted to incorporate a statement necklace, so I layered with a chunky silver choker and smaller silver choker. To finish off the look, I wore my favorite Steve Madden heels.
