Hey there fellow Fashionistas/os, Lexi here! I am back again for my third semester with the one and only CollegeFashionista and am super thrilled for all that is to come this semester.
I am currently a sophomore in my second semester at Iowa State University studying apparel merchandising with hopes of becoming a buyer once graduated. At Iowa State, I am involved with Trend Magazine, the fashion magazine on campus, and the annual Iowa State Fashion Show, which houses over 2,500 people each year. I am also super passionate about volunteering through Love Your Melon, an organization that makes beanies for children with cancer, and the other volunteer organizations I am involved with.
When I am not studying, I love to partake in a multitude of activities some would call “hobbies”. I am greatly passionate about photography. I love capturing moments for the pure joy it brings me and those around me! I enjoy finding awesome spots to shoot fun photos of myself and my friends. Interior design is another passion of mine that I have discovered since coming to college. Being in college, every year calls for a new place to reside, which means having the chance to change up the space in which you live. This being said, each year I love to spend time decorating and planning out my room and other living spaces, such as my kitchen and living room.
For this look, I decided to put my own spin on the over-the-knee boot trend by pairing my black boots with a classic turtleneck dress. For warmth, I paired the look with a wool coat which is must have staple for the winter months.
There’s nothing better than the world of fashion and all that it has to offer… other than a new pair of shoes, of course!!
