Hello my fellow Fashionistas/os! My name is Lexi Rainwater, and I am a junior Interpersonal Communication major at Illinois State University. I can’t wait to share the styles represented on ISU’s campus. My excitement for having the opportunity to be a Style Guru this summer cannot be contained!
I might be from a small town in central Illinois, but my style sense goes beyond my little town. Being the farmer’s daughter, edgy fashion hasn’t always been what I’ve grown up around. My early teenage years have been a series of many different style changes in reach to find my own. As I begin my 20s, I’ve realized I don’t have one set style. My style ranges from feminine to boho-chic. I constantly find myself stepping outside the box to discover new styles.
You can most often find me in a trendy romper (I think I have 50). It’s an easy outfit, and all you have to add is accessories to make it unique! Some of my favorite places to shop are online Australian boutiques like Pepper Mayo and Xenia when I want to spurge a little (which happens too often). Being a college student, you have to find ways to dress fashionable on a budget. I’ve found that shopping at T.J.Maxx and Forever 21 is the best way to add incredible outfits and essentials to your closet on a college-girl-budget!
Being a social media addict, the growth of online fashion blogs has brought even more of my attention to the fashion industry. CollegeFashionista articles have inspired me since my freshman year at Illinois State. I now find myself on the other side sharing the fabulous fashion trends on my college campus!
