Hello my beautiful Fashionistas/os! I am back for another fashion-filled semester! Except, this time I am back not for a semester, but a season! That’s right ladies and gentlemen I am back for summer! Summer is easily my favorite season, because what’s not to love? Summer is the season of warm days at the beach and fun nights spent with friends around a bonfire. I cannot think of a better way to be spending my first summer returning home from college than to be writing for CollegeFashionista.
This summer I will be writing to you from New Hampshire. Now before you think New Hampshire is so irrelevant to my life, let me just tell you a couple of things about summer there. My house is located 45 minutes from the beach, the lakes, mountains and from Boston. If that does not say “diverse sense of fashion” nothing ever will. Every week is going to be a new adventure uncovering fashionable outfits and I can absolutely not wait!
However, I keep my attire pretty simple in the summer. On any given day, nine times out of ten, you will be able to find me wearing sandals. Of those nine times, eight of those times my shoe of choice would have to be my Jack Rogers sandals. Lately, I have been really into this lipstick, #101 Rose Melody, from the line Lilly Pulitzer for Target by L’Oreal. Unfortunately, this was a limited item and can no longer be purchased although a close match is Maybelline’s Captivating Carnation. In the summer, I only wear bright colors and fun patterns as this is evident with my hot pink tank top and patterned pants.
It was an amazing experience being on the CollegeFashoinista during the spring semseter. I now have a greater appreciation for someone who is wearing a fashionable outfit. Sometimes I feel like my own “What’s Hot, What’s Not” column when I am walking anywhere on campus. The most exciting part of this opportunity is having the chance to write for CollegeFashionista during my favorite season and in a place I love just as much as University of Delaware. So with that said, I am going to get through my last final and hurry home to kick off the start of a fabulous summer!
